The new R -Series sofas use the highest quality leather, padding and hand-made materials to ensure each piece is comfortable and pleases the eye. All pieces are hand-assembled and fabricated by experts and use real car components from steel to aluminum. The "real steel" body shells that form the sofas, love seats and club chairs are actual replacement stampings to restore a vintage automobile.

DESIGN "It has to look good and be comfortable, just like the cars themselves," said owner Alan Liu about the new R-Series. "Forget about diners and tacky restaurants Realsteel's designs are at home in an art gallery or a living room."
Instead of just adding an existing sofa into a car chassis, the team designed original wooden frames to form the seats. The bend in the frame ensures lasting comfort custom designed to each car chassis.
The leather used in the designs also is furniture grade. The natural leather is aromatic and not treated to remove natural blemishes. "Because most car seats have a UV protective coating, the surface is somewhat rigid, we wanted to fix that," Alan said. "The leather used by Realsteel breathes and is supple to the touch."
The leather comes from Alcantara and Heller-Leder, which supply high quality, delicate and organic aniline leather. Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Lamborghini all use this grade of leather, so now you can take home the luxury you drive.
Another useful feature is the lockable trunk that opens, but instead of tools or a spare tire there is room for a bar, cooler, audio system or humidor. Fine leather and stitching line the interior trunk space ensuring seamless detail throughout the piece.
CAR STOCK The foundation of Realsteel's products is in its innovative supply chain. They have close relationships with furniture designers and auto-parts retailers that provide aftermarket parts for original-equipment manufacturers.
